AI sensors (R version) - Technical manual

Presentation

The IA sensor (version R) is a people counting device. Placed high up, it detects and analyses the shapes in its "field of vision", identifies those that are human-like, counts them and then transmits the counting data to the Affluences servers.

Prerequisites

Environment

  1. Power supply or PoE available
  2. Minimum installation height of 2.20 m
  3. The area to be analysed must be sufficiently bright (> 50 lux)
  4. The view in front of the camera must be unobstructed. Check that there is no equipment or installations that could impede visibility during counting.
  5. The measurement zone must be entirely within the sensor's field of vision (maximum distance of 50m).

Installation

On-site installation

  1. Mounting the sensor and adjusting the viewing angle
  2. Connection to the electricity network
  3. Check data recovery and correction if necessary

Post-installation follow-up (1 week)

  1. (Remote) hardware calibration, model validation and data consistency checks
  2. Sensor commissioning

Single box (interior)

The 3G connection key can either be plugged directly into the box (as shown below), or fixed to the bracket for an even more compact look.

Waterproof case

If the sensor is installed outdoors or exposed to the elements, it is housed in an IP67-rated waterproof casing for greater resistance to dust, water and moisture intrusion.
The IA sensor (version R) is integrated directly into the waterproof casing with its transformer connected to a 230V power supply or PoE cable.

CNIL and RGPD compliance

The IA sensors (version R) implemented by Affluences comply with CNIL and RGPD regulations.

The logic analysis and sensoring unit is built directly into the sensor, and the data streams captured are processed locally on the fly.
The only data stored and sent to the Affluences servers and databases is numerical count data (e.g. 15 people at 11.05am).
