Presentation
The video sensor is a counting system using the 3D video technology.
It is placed above the access, fixed to the ceiling and counts every person located in the counting area below.
The 3D video sensor is a very precise counting system, even for wide or busy accesses.
Technical specifications
Technology |
Counting method: distance from the ground is determined with 3D technology |
Counting area size |
Proportional to the sensor's height. The higher the sensor, the wider the area covered. For example, a sensor fixed at a 6 meters height can cover an area of a 9 meters width. |
Power type |
PoE (Power over Ethernet) wiring required for power and data communication (a PoE injector* can be used) |
Counting data retrieval |
Ethernet (Ethernet / Wifi relay possible) |
Counting data refresh |
Every 3 seconds |
Dimensions |
130 x 94 x 30 mm |
Positioning |
Mounting height between 2.20 and 20 meters Inclination: +/- 15° |
Accuracy |
99% |
Mounting |
Bolted down to the ceiling |
Internal memory |
120 days of hourly data |
Colour |
White |
Customisation |
Customisable colours |
*A PoE (Power over Ethernet) injector plugs into an electrical outlet and adds power to a simple network cable, transferring both power and data to a device.
Setup
Prerequisites
Surface-mounted installation
On-site installation
-
- Video sensor will be bolt down, wired and calibrated
- Data retrieval assessment
Post-installation monitoring
-
- Checking data consistency and validating correction coefficients
- Sensor ready
Network architecture
Some prerequisites are necessary to calibrate the sensor and collect the data :
- An internet access through ports 80/HTTP, 123/NTP, 443/HTTPS.
- A DHCP server or a static IP address.

Regarding GDPR regulation
Affluences sensors are not affected by GDPR regulation since frame analysis is processed localy. We only collect anonymized counting data, such as 15 entries at 11am for example.
The 3D video sensors implemented by Affluences are not subject to CNIL or RGPD regulations.
The logical analysis and counting device is directly embedded in the counter, and the captured data flows are exploited on the fly and locally.
The only data stored and sent to the Affluences servers and databases are encrypted numerical count data (e.g. 15 entries at 11:05).
